Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure high quality web-based software through functional, regression and performance testing in a collaborative, Agile (Scrum) work environment, leveraging both manual and test automation practices.

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will spend at least 50% of their time applying their C# skills toward building and maintaining an automated test suite.

Responsibilities

  • Test new software features and regression test existing functionality

  • Design, create, maintain and execute automated acceptance, regression, and performance tests

  • Perform design and code reviews associated with automated test development

  • Collaborate with Software Engineers on design and implementation that are conducive to automated acceptance tests

  • Collaborate with Product Owner to understand and advise on well-defined requirements and testable acceptance criteria

  • Perform manual functional, accessibility, compatibility, and security testing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Testing web applications using manual and automated testing approaches

  • Test automation frameworks and C# programming abilities

  • Testing secure, scalable, and highly available web applications

  • Knowledge of web application development technologies and concepts

  • Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) development life cycle

  • The ability to troubleshoot and analyze; must be able to dig into issues and escalate or solve them appropriately

  • Strong work ethic

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience

  • Seven or more years of experience testing web applications

  • Five or more years of experience building/executing automated tests for web applications
