The Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Company’s Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Fixed Assets, General Ledger accounting, and corporate financial reporting functions. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager leads a team of accountants and assists with the preparation of monthly financial packages, quarterly deliverables, and the annual close. The successful candidate will be analytical, resourceful, and innovative with a working knowledge of US GAAP and TWG accounting policies ensuring that the principles are being practiced consistently in all areas of responsibility.


  • Overall responsibility for monthly general ledger close
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial packages including financial statements and debt covenant calculations
  • Prepare, review and post journal entries required to reflect monthly activity
  • Oversee daily treasury activity ensuring bank accounts are reconciled and settled daily
  • Perform and review general ledger account reconciliations; ensure account balances are properly and adequately supported
  • Ensure the timely completion and accuracy of all bank reconciliations
  • Direct department in preparation of required documentation for annual financial audits
  • Maintain financial integrity by adhering to and enforcing GAAP and TWG accounting policies and internal controls
  • Manage the global credit and collection function (AR) including evaluation of customer credit exposure; oversee the application of customer payments; monitor past due accounts to resolution and collection; prepare and analyze statistical reports for management including DSO reporting
  • Evaluate, update and document allowance for doubtful accounts
  • Manage cased goods commission contracts, payments, and reconciliations
  • Review lease agreements for proper accounting classification and manage lease accounting software
  • Oversee capital expenditure policies and coordinate updates; ensure TWG capitalization policies are being adhered to and oversee accounting
  • Administer fixed asset physical inventories
  • Oversee property tax audits
  • Provide guidance, coaching and development of accounting staff to maintain a high performing collaborative team environment
  • Streamline business processes to improve workflow efficiencies and maximize department productivity
  • Manage special projects and implementations as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Experience with J.D. Edwards ERP preferred
  • Self-directed and motivated to innovate and improve processes
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, manage and execute multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities
  • Work independently within set guidelines to accomplish company objectives
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems
  • Excellent attention to detail and accounting accuracy with a proven understanding of US GAAP
